It articulates the claim of Jesus as God and what He can be for those who believe and follow Him.
This statement is a remarkable declaration set in a well-known story surrounding the death and subsequent raising of Lazarus. Jesus is coming towards the end of his public ministry, and the opposition against him is growing. Remarkably, it is in this context that Jesus performs his greatest miracle on this side of the cross.
