The intent of the Kindness Fund:
To maintain a fund, resource bank, and network specifically set aside to help folks who are connected with CitySalt Church who find themselves in a unique time of need. Funds raised can be used to meet immediate short term needs identified from extenuating circumstances, but are not intended to meet reoccurring ongoing needs.
Examples: gift cards for groceries/household items, unexpected car repairs, child expenses . . .
To Request Funds:
Complete the simple google form: Kindness Fund Inquiry
Be ready with some personal contact info so that the Kindness Fund Committee can connect with you.
Be prepared to articulate the need and what your asking. ie: “I’m haven’t trouble meeting ________ expense . It will cost _______ and it due by _______.”
*This form can be filled out by either the party requesting aid or by another on behalf of a known need.
Once the form has been completed, the Kindness Fund Committee will receive the request, meet to discuss, reach out if any clarifying questions arise, and respond. Sending cash or checks directly to individuals is not ideal. The prefered method of assistance is to send gift cards or pay bill directly.
Kindness Fund Inquiry also asks if you would like your request to be shared with the CitySalt Intercessory Prayer Team.

Who is the Kindness Fund Committee?
The Kindness Fund Committee is an extension of the CitySalt Church Council. The committee is made up of 1 first-year council member, 1 second-year council member, and one member of the pastoral team. The committee will meet (via Zoom, email, text, phone call, or in-person) to discuss the request. Committee will come to a consensus depending on how much funds are available, the needs timeline, whom the request is for, etc.
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.
Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the
floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there
will not be room enough to store it."
Malachi 3:10
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down,
shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.
For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Luke 6:38

“‘When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am the Lord your God.
Leviticus 19:9-10
Interesting to note, that the harvester of the field is directed to plan to leave food behind. They are not waiting to learn about needs. Rather, they are anticipating needs and putting a plan in place.
